So an update on my colt is in order! He won his first show in March, and hasn't been shown since then :(. He did great though (not just in his show) I thought he did really well in a new environment that was totally novel for him. I watched a friends place over the summer and took him with me, where he rubbed out his mane so I couldn't enter him. Then I started him and began saving up for his training so he hasn't been to another halter show. He'll be back when he's ready again!
Anyways, he's ride-able and going great. Mostly just w/t and a little canter. Then it's off to professional training in March. I'm really excited to see what he'll excel in (I'm hoping cutting!). What can I say? I like proving people wrong :) but regardless I'll be happy as long as he's really good at SOMETHING! So he can earn the right to stay intact, otherwise he'll be getting gelded here within the next couple years! It's in his best interest to do well.
