I recently decided it would be a good idea to get another horse, he is 19 months old and a stud colt. I just sent his papers into AQHA and are awaiting their call for his name etc. I'm anticipating him to get the first choice, which is nice; but not my favorite. We took a family vote and my favorite name came in second. I think it's much more catchy than the first name chosen for him, but alas, the first choice was ImpressiveKing Olena. So, I went to all breed pedigree's website and put the info in (I can edit it if he doesn't get his first choice). But here is what his pedigree looks like:
He has really good bloodlines, and so far I really like this colt. I wasn't too sure about him considering the first time we saw him he was just out with a herd of horses and I really didn't get to do much with him. We looked at a few other colts, but conformationally and dispositionally I liked this one best. I hope he does well :). He will bee shown in halter at the AQHA show at Jefferson County Fairgrounds in late February. I am nervous and excited for his debut, we have put some work into this colt already and it would be amazing for it to pay off at the first show. But, I am definitely not expecting first place at the first one, although it would be nice. He's got doc Olena, Driftwood, Impressive, Expressive, Showdown, Poco Bueno, two eyed jack, waggoner, King, Wimpy, Mesawimpytoo, general lee, counter play, sugar bars, three chicks, triple chicks and three bars in his pedigree :) So he's pretty legit.
